Foundation Goals

The Moseley Foundation supports organizations which foster the health, education, safety or welfare of children and families, with particular attention to those organized and operating within the greater Essex County, MA, Cumberland County, ME, and Indian River County, FL areas. The Trustees intend to focus on organizations which they believe reflect the interests and values of the Donors.

Eligibility

Charitable organizations which are entitled to exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the “Code”) and which are pursuing public charitable, cultural, educational, literary, or scientific purposes as defined in Sections 1270(2)(1) or (c)(2)(B) of the Code.

Exclusions

The Foundation does not make grants to individuals, nor does it support annual giving campaigns, deficit reduction, scholarships, fellowships, loans or travel. The Foundation does not normally make multiple-year gifts.

 

Submissions Grant applications must be submitted via the Submittable grant management platform. NOTE:  The deadline for submissions to be considered by the trustees in July 2025 is May 1, 2025.

  • Scroll to the bottom of this screen and click on 'View My Submissions' and create a login. 
  • Complete the grant application online (Create an overview of the application template for people to reference)
  • Grant applications can be saved in draft form while you are working on them.
  • To make a change once the application has been finalized and submitted, you will need to withdraw the application and re-submit it with changes.

Prepare the following documents to be uploaded to the application.

  • IRS determination letter
  • Audited financials and/or most recent 990
  • Operating and project budgets
  • Annual report
  • Any additional information that you feel will help support your application

You must create a Submittable account in order to apply.

  •  Best practice is to use your organization’s ‘info@example.com’ email if one is available. Using a generic email address ensures continuity for your organization in the event of employee changes.

  • Our platform works best on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer and older versions of Microsoft Edge are not supported.
